This is one of Catto’s first watercolors, inspired by a childhood memory. A nasty riptide off the coast of La Libertad in El Salvador pulled her far from shore and safety and she almost drowned. As she was pulled away, she imagined what dwelled in the water beneath her before she was rescued by her father.
