Catto explored the passage of mourning the death of both parents with a series of small mixed-media panels, including Dissolution, Exile, and Accounts Payable. “Foreboding” addresses the anxiety — specifically, the fear of intense change — that comes immediately after losing a beloved one. Symbolism is important to Catto's creative process, especially in collage.
