High flying pollinators inspired this piece. Original sphinx moth watercolor.
Every gardener can identify the hard workers — the pollinators that keep the garden going. Every year, a small group of these hard working moths comes by to say hello. This last last year’s group spent the majority of their time near the studio, in the planters that I place near our entrance and exit. They place their proboscis ever so delicately into the flower, in search of the nectar, and I thank them for their hard work.
