Pattern Story
Years ago, I read about the legend of Sun Wukong or the Monkey King. The narrative has many twists, but ultimately it is a tale of adventure and transcendence. My take on the Monkey King is a studio favorite, and I adapted an iconic William Morris pattern for the background. Watercolor is a
fickle medium, so painting freestyle from an intricate design with numerous repeats took all of my attention and helped me appreciate all of the lyricism embedded in good wallpaper design.
Product Story
When I was nine a family friend gave me The Nothing Book. I carried it everywhere and this habit became permanent — I am never without my journal. My sketchbooks hold my brain: the galumphing to-do list, jottings, inspiration, places to visit, music to listen to, books to read, movies to see, endless doodles, potential painting titles, dreams and schemes, kids appointments, my calendar, and the rest of the beat. Monkey list notebook.

My favorite ” to do” list notepads! My favorite gift to family and
friends. Such vibrant designs – I have the hardest time choosing just one! Actually, I would rather keep them all for myself- but sharing is important.
