Pattern Story
When my kids were small, I didn’t have much time to sketch. So instead, I noted colors in my journal, then translated them into simple horizontal lines during downtime. This practice became a foundation for my color education. Hundreds of small paintings later, these color studies not only illustrate how I register the world but are paintings in their own right.
Product Story
I grew up surrounded by journalists, then married one, so I love watching reporters whip out their steno pads and start taking notes. I decided my husband’s run-of-the-mill steno pads needed a design elevation. The size is ideal for tucking into your tote or backpack. This notebook has water inspired stripes, visually taken from the beauty of Lake Lady Bird in Austin, Texas.
