The garden is shifting, and the garden light is following suit. Fall is around the corner. My garden is an extension of my studio and is always my teacher. Here are the flowers in this post: Trollius chinensis, lady’s mantle or Alchemilla mollis, Achillea millefolium 'Paprika', and an anonymous rose that was given to me by a friend (ids welcome.)⁠

Fini. I dropped in the final details, and my first large scale bird flight painting of the black-chinned hummingbird is off to the @tonyamerica and then to the framer. This is the time of year that the hummingbirds are in a feeding frenzy for the long haul to South America. And their flight patterns reflect that end of the summer adrenalin rush. Top Gun move over.
