This original cell division painting in watercolor, “Legacy II,” is part of a series depicting the cellular process of cell division. This series of watercolors was inspired by vintage anatomical drawings on cell division that Isa had studied after having children. The science, imagery and philosophy of this process brought about this series, with this painting depicting telophase in animal cells. 2011.
