This painting was inspired by the classic geometrical problem of squaring the circle. “Squaring the circle” served as a good personal metaphor, since I was grappling with what I thought were insurmountable challenges. After I created this piece the tides shifted, and that tale has now been told out, but I do remember what a delight this was to paint.
100% polyester velvet.
Machine wash warm or cool on a gentle/delicate setting, using phosphate-free detergent. Machine dry on a low-temperature setting. Iron on the reverse side of the fabric.
